7 Tips to remove blackheads naturally

Blackheads are a combination of dead skin cells and sebum which coagulates and forms a 'plug'. This plug oxidizes and turns black in color. Blackheads can be seen anywhere on the body but mainly it is found in T-zone, on the forehead, nose and also on ears. There are many medicines available in the market for treatment of blackheads, but using natural treatments is always the best option. Here are some of the tips that help in removing blackheads naturally:



Turmeric and mint juice 

Turmeric and mint juice helps to clean out dirty pores. Brew mint tea and let it to cool. Then, add two tablespoons of it in turmeric powder and spread it all over your face. Wash it off with lukewarm water after ten minutes.




Egg-white mask

Egg-white mask removes clogged dirt and help to tighten the pores thereby giving you clear and smooth skin. Take two eggs and remove the yolks, then apply a thin layer of it on your face. Let it dry for two minutes and then cover it with second layer of egg-whites. Leave it to dry for around 10-15 minutes until your skin feels tight and wash it off with lukewarm water afterwards.



Honey and cinnamon paste

Honey known for its antibiotic properties pulls out dirt from the open pores. Make a mixture of one tablespoon of honey with ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon and dab it onto the dry skin with the help of your fingers. Then, wash it off with lukewarm water after rubbing it in a circular motion for at least three minutes.

Clay mask

Clay mask dries out oily pores and removes unwanted residue from the skin. Make a paste by mixing powdered clay with sufficient apple cider vinegar and apply it all over your face. After letting it dry for around 10-15 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water.


Oatmeal and yogurt paste

Oatmeal and yoghurt when mixed together create a blackhead-blocking formula.  Take three tablespoons of yoghurt, two tablespoons oats, a few drops of lemon juice and olive oil; then mix them together forming a paste. Dab this paste onto your affected area and let it dry for around ten minutes. Then, wash it off with lukewarm water.


Make an Epsom salt cleansing solution

A mixture of Epsom salt and iodine helps in fighting the bacteria to remove blackheads. Make a mixture of Epsom salt with water and a few drops of iodine. Allow the mixture to sit while stirring occasionally to dissolve the salt into hot water completely. With the help of cotton, dab the solution onto the skin and let it dry. Then, wash it off gently with warm water.









Fenugreek paste

Blend the fenugreek with water to form a paste and apply it all over your face. Allow it to set for ten minutes and then wash it off. It shows promising results in removing blackheads.
